I do hope the reader finds this blog of interest, and that he or she does not take anything I am about to share personally.
It has taken me much of this lifetime to discover what I'm about to share. And what is strange to me, is me lecturing intellectuals about intellectualism. Strange because until I was 72 years of age, I never considered myself remotely intellectual. Indeed, I rather thought of myself as almost an idiot savant.: Gifted in the area of Psychology and Psychotherapy, but not otherwise very knowledgeable.
But my thoughts have changed over the last few decades. Or since I regained use of my Intuition in 1978, following a particularly intense Gestalt session, in which I re-experienced a life-altering trauma that took place when I was three years of age. I have written about this event and so, I won't repeat it except to mention it took place, and to say that this session eliminated a self-imposed block of my access to my faculty of Intuition. And this dramatically changed my way of viewing Life [capital "L" Life].
On this physical plane, one can view life [lower case "l"], or one can view Life [capital "L"]. The difference is substantial, and yet, virtually no one is aware of the importance of this difference. The lower case "l" life is applied to viewing the physical phenomena of this physical plane, using ones brain and physical senses, and thinking that this is the only life there is. People who view and think about "life" we will refer to as "Thinker" type individuals. People who view and Intuit "Life" we will refer to as "Enlightened" type individuals. And oddly, neither type actually recognizes what causes oneself to be one or the other? Or what causes one to tend toward being one or the other?
What "causes" a person to be one or the other [or more precisely] causes one to tend to be one or the other, is where on the Ladder of Life ones Soul is perched? And to pursue this line of inquiry, one must become aware of both the Purpose of Life, and two concepts that are generally ignored in the West, and certainly in America. These two concepts are 1. The Law of Karma, and 2. Reincarnation.
The Law of Karma, despite the ignorance surrounding this very important Law, is the "key" to Life. And one ignores it at ones peril. The concept of Reincarnation is ignored due to a combination of fear and ignorance on the part of those who promote Christianity. The dogma of Christianity warns adherents to this religion to not speak of, nor think about the Law of Karma..... because it is the work of the devil. This admonition is based on fear and ignorance of the Reality of Life.... and a subtle desire to not allow people to awaken to the Truth of the Bible.... which is the fact that Jesus had to be "initiated" by John the Baptist, because every Living Master must be "initiated" by a Master. What is conveyed in this Initiation is an awakening of the Light of Spirituality in the new Master. This example of Jesus becoming "Christ" by this Initiation by John the Baptist was meant as a lesson for all of humanity. Every Soul that is "ready" to be awakened to the Spirituality within itself, must be "initiated" by a Perfect Living Master. This is the "Law" of God.
And just one of many Secrets of the Bible... most of which have been lost.
Early-on in Christianity, individuals who were not aware of the Spiritual aspects of Christianity [but were quite intellectual] misinterpreted the writings of the disciples of Christ, by confining these writings to the words the disciples wrote, and not to what these words "pointed to". This inability to "experience" the Esoteric Spirituality hidden behind words, is natural for those individuals confined to intellectualism. That is, focusing on the words the disciples wrote as what they meant to infer is a natural mistake of Thinker type individuals. As opposed to realizing that the words used by the disciples only "pointed to" the Spirituality of Christ, which could not be conveyed in words! The Energy of Spirituality is Esoteric. That is, it cannot be known by the brain or physical senses. So, anyone who is a Thinker type individual [suffering from the Malady of Intellectualism, or "M-I"] will automatically mistake the "abstract words" of the Bible that "point to" Spirituality, as being the message of the Bible.... and in doing so, Thinker type individuals unknowingly miss entirely the fact that the words one can read are merely arrows pointing to a deeper message that cannot be conveyed in words.
_______________________A Basic Secret of the Bible _______________
The Spiritual message of Christ, in other words, is not conveyed by the words of the Bible because Spirituality is Truth, and Truth can ONLY be discovered if one [ones Apapsyche] is able to travel to the Spiritual dimension "within" oneself, and there "experience" Spirituality which exists beyond this Creation. This traveling of ones Soul is what mystics spend lifetimes learning to accomplish by "special meditation". It is not something ones brain can do, although people are told by those who promote Christianity that it is possible to do by intense "thinking".
And as though this travel of ones Soul is not difficult enough, an additional barrier is imposed upon Man in the form of a "readiness" of the Soul. That is, it is not possible for the Apapsyche of anyone to travel to the Spiritual dimension unless and until the Soul of that person has ascended the rungs of the Ladder of Life sufficiently to warrant an introduction to Spirituality. What people often experience and "think" of as "spirituality" is an intense emotionality provided by ones MIND, in an attempt to cool ones desire for Spirituality. This mostly unknown slight of hand by the MIND very effectively keeps people stuck in the cycle of birth and death, or what is called the "Wheel of Eighty-Four" in Hindi. The words "Eighty-Four" referring to there being 8,400,000 species of living things the Soul can incarnate into.
Although once a Soul has achieved the status of "human being", it is rare for such a Soul to descend into lower species, it can happen. Especially if one "acts" like an animal, ones next incarnation just might be in the form of an animal.... so that the Soul "learns" to appreciate the Grace of being a human being. This danger is unknown in the West, but known quite well in certain areas of the world, where people are serious about how they think and act. Well, at least those Souls that have made some progress up the Ladder of Life take the form of human being quite seriously.
Although Christianity does not teach this..... To become "ready" to meet ones Spiritual Master is the deepest desire of ones Soul. And that Soul that has remained steadfast in its desire to return to God will be rewarded by being pulled to a Perfect Living Master when that Soul is "ready". And ONLY God can determine when a Soul is "ready".
There is nothing in the brain or in intellectualism that can substitute for this basic and fundamental Reality of Life. Although many "think" otherwise, and of course everyone can think as he or she pleases.
